The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for the LMW warehouse operations and activities, including shipping and receiving deliveries, conducting stock checks, documenting warehouse transactions and storing inventory. He or she is also responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the material handling equipment. Manages duty-free inventory, prepares customs documentation (Work Order/Outgoing), and handles physical storage, receiving, and packing within bonded areas.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Perform receiving, checking, verification, packing, and dispatch of all incoming and outgoing goods.
· Handle LMW compliance and documentation, including preparation and submission of customs documentation, management of Work Orders (WO) and Outgoing (OG) forms, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements for duty-free goods.
· Conduct weekly cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
· Coordinate warehouse operations in accordance with 5S practices and housekeeping standards.
· Ensure compliance with warehouse safety regulations and company safety procedures at all times.
· Assist with data entry and inventory transactions using SAP/WMS systems.
· Support Health & Safety (H&S) responsibilities and ensure adherence to company HSE requirements.
· Carry out ad-hoc assignments and any other duties as assigned by the immediate superior.
Requirements & Skills:
· Possess at least a Higher Secondary/STPM certificate, Professional Certificate, or Diploma in any field.
· 2–3 years of experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or logistics, preferably within an LMW environment. Prior experience in an LMW warehouse within a manufacturing setup is preferred.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Word) and familiar with ERP systems such as SAP system.
· Well-versed in cargo inspection reports, tally sheets, and shipping/shipment documentation.
· Detail-oriented, physically fit, and capable of operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and reach trucks.
· Able to work under pressure and commit to extended working hours when necessary.
· Willing to perform overtime as required by operational needs.
· Possess a valid driving license.
· Possession of a forklift license will be an added advantage.
