Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily production and operational activities, including operating production machinery when necessary, to ensure efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate production reports, including KPI monitoring, manpower productivity, machine utilisation, production output, profit margins, and inventory records, while ensuring timely system updates and stock accuracy.
  • Generate CAD drawings for the fabrication of standard and non-standard parts as required.
  • Ensure machinery and equipment are properly maintained through preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimise downtime and support safe operations.
  • Lead, train, and develop Production Technicians to achieve operational and performance targets, including manpower planning, attendance monitoring, overtime management, and task allocation.
  • Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean and 5S practices to improve productivity, reduce waste, minimise rework, and optimise production costs.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through timely stock updates and adjustments when required.
  • Ensure all products comply with specifications, quality standards, ISO requirements, and internal procedures, while collaborating closely with QA/QC teams to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Enforce workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations by promoting a strong safety culture, conducting toolbox briefings, ensuring compliance with safety procedures, and fulfilling all ERIKS Health & Safety responsibilities.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the immediate superior.

Job Holder Specifications (Must Have)

  • Minimum Higher Secondary, Professional Certificate, or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 3 years of experience in production and manufacturing operations. Gasket and Sealing knowledge will be an added advantage.
  • Able to work under pressure and commit to extended working hours when required.
  • Willing to perform overtime as needed.

Job Holder Specifications (Nice to Have)

  • Possess a valid forklift license.
  • Able to commence work on short notice.
